We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology and engineering manufacturer for an experienced Supply Chain Manager on a permanent full-time basis to lead and develop the end-to-end supply chain function within a highly specialised manufacturing environment.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring material availability, supplier performance, operational efficiency and cost control across a low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing operation. Working closely with senior leadership, you will develop and implement supply chain strategies that support business growth, customer delivery and continuous improvement.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy in line with business objectives and future growth plans
• Lead procurement, production planning, logistics and materials management activities across the full product lifecycle
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce lead times and optimise costs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with specialist suppliers across engineering and manufacturing sector
• Identify, qualify and onboard new suppliers to improve capability, capacity and supply chain resilience
• Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing agreements and service levels
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions where required
• Oversee demand planning, MRP activities and inventory optimisation to support on-time customer delivery
• Ensure robust configuration control and full material traceability throughout the supply chain
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to manage long lead-time materials, prototype builds and new product introduction
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including export compliance and customs documentation
• Ensure compliance with relevant quality, regulatory and environmental standards, including ISO9001, AS9100, RoHS and REACH
• Lead, mentor and develop the supply chain team, promoting continuous improvement and accountability
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality and commercial teams to support successful project delivery
• Produce regular supply chain reports, performance metrics and risk assessments for senior leadership

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in a Supply Chain Manager or senior supply chain leadership position
• Experience within electronics, RF, aerospace, defence or another technically complex manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing and engineering supply chains
• Demonstrable experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, contract negotiation and supplier performance management
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and data-driven decision making
• Understanding of export controls and regulated manufacturing environments
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the business
• Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• CIPS qualification, or working towards accreditation, would be advantageous
• A proactive, commercially focused individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
