Our Ledbury based client is seeking a dedicated Senior Finance Officer on a full time, permanent basis.

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations and help keep everything running smoothly during a period of growth. In this role, you’ll ensure the finances are accurate, organised, and compliant, while also providing valuable insights that help support the business’s future plans.

This is an ideal role suited to someone who is organised, detail-focused, and enjoys solving problems. What you can expect:

• Salary: circa £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Working hours: office hours, 37.5 hours per week

What you will be doing:

• Managing accounts payable and receivable, including processing transactions and reconciliations
• Supporting credit control to help maintain strong cash flow
• Assisting with month-end processes and financial preparation
• Helping prepare and analyse management accounts
• Working closely with the senior management team to develop and implement financial improvements to facilitate business growth
• Working closely with sales, marketing, and production teams, occasionally helping out during busy periods such as trade shows or distribution activities
• Providing general administrative support across the business when needed

What we are looking for:

• Experience working in a finance role
• Exposure to wider business operations, such as HR, preferred
• Experience of month end processes
• Commercial acumen
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification, preferred
• Experience using Xero, preferred
• Some basic HR knowledge, preferred
• Progressing towards or an interest in pursuing ACCA or CIMA, preferred
