We are recruiting for an experienced and skilled Senior Electrical Technician and Trainer to join a growing operations team on a permanent full-time basis in Tewkesbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on wiring professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for developing others. Working closely with the senior team, you will play a key role in enhancing wiring capability across the business, embedding best practice, improving quality standards and supporting the ongoing development of production teams.

This position combines hands-on technical involvement with mentoring, coaching and continuous improvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front and influencing operational excellence.

What You Will Be Doing

• Overseeing wiring and assembly activities to ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality standards and safe working practices
• Delivering practical training, mentoring and supervision to junior wiring staff, apprentices and wider production teams
• Leading training delivery for IPC/WHMA-A-620 knowledge and workmanship standards
• Interpreting and working from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings
• Developing and maintaining training guides, SOPs, checklists and competency documentation
• Carrying out quality inspections and troubleshooting technical wiring issues
• Promoting best practice in health and safety and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across wiring processes and team performance
• Acting as a technical escalation point for wiring-related queries across the business
• Providing hands-on wiring support within production when required to support operational output
• Supporting the development and consistency of wiring standards across multiple teams and sites

What We Are Looking For

• Completed electrical/electronic apprenticeship or equivalent vocational qualification
• Proven experience wiring control panels, looms or harnesses within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, terminations and assembly standards
• Previous experience training, mentoring or coaching others within a technical environment
• Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
• Strong understanding of wiring safety regulations and safe working practices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical processes clearly
• High attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
• Practical problem-solving ability with a hands-on mindset
• Flexible and adaptable approach to balancing operational and training responsibilities

Desirable Experience

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar
• Assessor, trainer or teaching qualification such as AET or TAQA
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
• Experience creating structured training programmes, SOPs or competency frameworks
• Understanding of Lean, 5S or continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience supporting multiple sites or distributed teams
