We are working with an established, family-owned business within the structural steelwork sector, seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join its leadership team. With a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality steel solutions across the UK, this organisation operates across design, fabrication, and installation. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

• Salary: up to £65k, depending on experience

What you will be doing:

• Leading and managing contract teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintaining full commercial control across all site-related expenditure
• Taking a hands-on approach to contract management across multiple projects
• Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
• Driving Health & Safety performance and continuous improvement across all sites
• Monitoring site performance and reporting progress, risks, and issues on a weekly basis
• Preparing tender packages for subcontract erection teams and negotiating terms and costs
• Attending client pre-let meetings and coordinating with internal teams across all project phases
• Supervising, coaching, and supporting contract teams across the full construction lifecycle
• Managing labour resources to ensure adequate staffing across all active projects

What we are looking for:

• 5 years’ experience in a similar Contracts Manager role within the structural steelwork industry
• Strong technical knowledge of structural steel construction, including decking and precast installation
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and maintain commercial oversight
• Strong understanding of site Health & Safety, quality, and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
• Ability to produce detailed reports, construction programmes, method statements, and risk assessments
• Strong IT skills with confidence in relevant systems and software
• Highly self-motivated with a proactive and hands-on approach
• Willingness to travel to sites across the UK as required
