We are recruiting for a Sampling & Production Assistant to join a growing distribution team within our clients’ manufacturing site on the North Herefordshire/Powys border.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient organisation, cutting, and distribution of sample orders to clients. You will also support the production team with quality control and order despatch, providing exposure to the full production and distribution cycle.

This is an ideal entry-level opportunity for someone interested in the textile industry and seeking hands-on experience in production and distribution. This is not a typical warehouse role and suits a candidate eager to learn and develop industry knowledge.

What you can expect:

• Salary: £25,396.80 per annum, depending on experience
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (30mins paid lunch)
• Annual leave: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays
• Full time, permanent position

What you will be doing:

• Cutting of textile samples
• Order processing and inventory management
• Quality control of incoming and outgoing textiles goods, according to business standards
• Organisation of order despatches alongside client service team

What we are looking for:

• Prior experience within a production and warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail
• An appreciation for textiles
• Ability to carry out heavy manual handling within a warehouse environment
• Able to work collaboratively while managing their workload independently
• Computer literacy including e-commerce and logistics software, preferred
• Numerate
