We are recruiting for a Sales Administrator to join our Hereford based client on a full time, fixed term contract basis. This is an entry level administration position, therefore candidates with existing IT competency and customer services experience are encouraged to apply.

The key responsibility for this position is to communicate with customers, potential customers, and colleagues relating to sales orders and enquiries, providing the best service in line with company expectations.

What you can expect:

• Salary: circa £25k, depending on experience
• Full-time, 12 month fixed term contract
• Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

 What you will be doing:

• Enter and verify customer orders, seeking specialist assistance when necessary
• Process order modifications, including changes, waivers, shipping information updates and cancellations
• Provide timely updates on order status and expedite orders when required
• Handle customer enquiries and prepare quotations collaborating with specialists for material selection, availability and pricing
• Collect feedback from customers and potential prospects on competition pricing, lead times and enquiry progress
• Manage open quotations and maintain logs for planned and completed activities

What we are looking for:

• Prior administration experience would be beneficial although not essential
• Prior customer services experience is essential
• Strong personal and organisational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills - communication, relationship building, etc
• PC proficiency, particularly with MS Excel preferred
• Results-orientated, self-motivated and resilient
