We are working with a respected local company for a reliable and customer-focused Retail / Shop Assistant to join a friendly team in rural north Herefordshire on permanent or temporary to permanent basis. This position plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service, supporting daily operations, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

What You Can Expect

·        Permanent or temp-to-perm opportunity (immediate start available).

·        Working hours: 3:30pm – 9:00pm over 6 days per week (day off flexible)

·        Hourly rate: £12.21 per hour

·        Due to the location, own transport is essential.

What You Will Be Doing

·        Serving customers in a polite and efficient manner, maintaining excellent service standards.

·        Operating the till and handling cash/card transactions accurately.

·        Restocking shelves, ensuring product displays are tidy and well-presented.

·        Monitoring stock levels and assisting with deliveries when required.

·        Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised shop environment.

·        Supporting colleagues and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

What We Are Looking For

·        Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not essential.

·        Strong communication skills with a helpful,approachable attitude.

·        Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently.

·        Languages: ideally Russian, Bulgarian, andEnglish.

·        Own transport essential due to rural location.
