We are working with a respected local company for a reliable and customer-focused Retail / Shop Assistant to join a friendly team in rural north Herefordshire on permanent or temporary to permanent basis. This position plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service, supporting daily operations, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

What You Can Expect

• Permanent or temp-to-perm opportunity (immediate start available)
• Working hours: 3:30pm – 9:00pm over 6 days per week (day off flexible)
• Hourly rate: £12.21 per hour

• Due to the location, own transport is essential.

What You Will Be Doing

• Serving customers in a polite and efficient manner, maintaining excellent service standards
• Operating the till and handling cash/card transactions accurately
• Restocking shelves, ensuring product displays are tidy and well-presented
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with deliveries when required
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised shop environment
• Supporting colleagues and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

What We Are Looking For

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not essential
• Strong communication skills with a helpful,approachable attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently
• Languages: ideally Russian, Bulgarian, and English
• Own transport essential due to rural location
