We are recruiting for a Quality Controller on behalf of our client based in rural Leominster. The main purpose of this role is to check and release products at the end of the production process. Monitoring product specifications, recording results, making corrections and escalating issues as appropriate.

Candidates with production experience including existing quality control knowledge are encouraged to apply – training on specific specification standards and computer systems will be given.

What you can expect:

• Working hours: 40 hours per week either 8am – 5pm or 7am – 4pm, with an early finish on a Friday (6am – 12pm or 8am – 2pm)
• Temp to perm
• Hourly rate: £12.59 - £12.72ph, dependent on experience
• Full training provided
• Monday to Friday
• Immediate start

What you will be doing:

• Record inspection results in the respective product code files
• Manage products and stock on the internal AS400 system, including booking in, booking scrap and transferring
• Identify and segregate non-conforming products
• Label and pack products according to specified requirements
• Heavy lifting up to 25kg

What we are looking for:

• Understanding of BS6001 sampling plans (desirable)
• Understanding of quality assurance process procedures (desirable)
• Good IT skills
• Very good communication skills
• Use measuring equipment, as necessary, to visually and dimensionally inspect goods
• Ability to interpret and apply internal and customer specifications in inspections
• Skilled in identifying and segregating non-conforming products
• Capable of maintaining accurate records and following up on necessary tasks
