We are supporting a leading, grower and importer in their search for a Quality Assurance Operative on a fulltime permanent basis for their site in North Hereford. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all products meet customer and company specifications, maintaining the reputation.

What You Can Expect

• Hourly rate: from £12.98 per hour
• Full-time, permanent position, minimum 40 hours per week
• Shift pattern: 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis
• Rotating shifts (6:00am–2:30pm and 10:00am–6:30pm, subject to production requirements)
• Based in north Herefordshire

What You Will Be Doing

• Assessing product quality and allocating stock based on customer approval status
• Supporting the production team to meet and maintain customer quality standards
• Communicating regularly with the Commercial Planner regarding stock rotation and movement
• Liaising with the commercial and technical teams to ensure quality compliance and clear reporting
• Providing feedback to the Packhouse team on the quality of fruit in stock and during production
• Promoting a strong quality assurance culture across all operations
• Ensuring compliance with all company and statutory policies, procedures, and quality systems
• Providing cover and support within other areas of the quality department as required

What We Are Looking For

• A keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills with a practical command of English
• Computer literacy, particularly in Excel and Word
• A strong understanding of quality standards and product presentation
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
• A proactive and flexible approach to shift patterns and changing production needs
• Previous experience in food production or quality assurance is beneficial but not essential
