Our central Hereford client is recruiting for a Production Operative to join their hardworking team. This is a temp to perm opportunity, offering a competitive hourly rate, plus the option to work overtime hours at an enhanced rate of pay.  

Ideal candidates will have production experience within a heavy industrial environment, be IT literate, confident working at height and in confined spaces, and flexible to work overtime at the weekend.

What you can expect:

• Pay:
  
  • Pay rate: £13.20 per hour increasing to £14.30 per hour
  • Once fully trained, you can expect a further increase to £16.27 per hour (after 6-12months)
  • Overtime is paid at 1.5x of your basic rate

• 3-week shift pattern, 12-hour shifts across days and nights (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am)
• Monday to Friday, overtime available at the weekend
• Temp to perm - permanent position after a successful initial trial period

What you will be doing:

• Set up, operate, and monitor machinery
• Plan efficient equipment loading and unloading
• Assisting with scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
• Record production data e.g. temperatures
• Maintaining site security and ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times
• Report equipment faults and performance issues
• Communicate issues and opportunities to management
• Monitoring and reporting any non-conformance

• Production experience required
• Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team

• Availability to work 12 hours shifts
