We require a Poultry Farm Worker to join a small existing team on a full-time temp to perm basis. The successful candidate will be required to work across 2 farms based in rural Leominster, Herefordshire.

This is a hands-on manual role working directly with livestock. The successful candidate will be given full comprehensive training to become an integral part of a small and friendly farm team.

What is on offer:

• £13.46 per hour – overtime rate £17.90 per hour
• 7am - 4pm, Monday – Friday + 1 weekend day paid as overtime
• Temporary to Permanent - 12-week probation period with full training
• 48 hours + per week with overtime available

Job details:

• Livestock handling (this is very heavy)
• Deep cleaning and maintenance of barns and all equipment
• Telehandler experience is advantageous
• Assisting with all aspects of the artificial insemination process
• Collection of eggs
• Catching and loading birds
• Adhering to strict biosecurity and health and safety protocols
• Work effectively with farm managers and other staff
• Ensure the welfare and care of livestock is maintained at all times

• Ability to perform heavy and physically demanding tasks
• Reliable and punctual
• Flexible to work unsociable shifts and overtime if required
• Basic understanding of health and safety and welfare practices
• A prior background in manual labour
• Candidates with a genuine interest in agriculture/ animal welfare will be considered
• Own transport is essential for this role – no exceptions
• Must be located within a short commutable distance from Leominster
• Able to commit to full-time 6 day a week work
