We are looking for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to join a leading manufacturing organisation based in north Herefordshire on full time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced L&D professional to play a pivotal role in developing employee capability, supporting operational excellence and creating a strong culture of continuous learning across the site.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead, develop and deliver the site's Education & Training Plan
• Build employee capability and support the development of a coaching culture
• Maintain accurate training records and training matrices
• Ensure colleagues meet all relevant compliance and training requirements
• Support audits and ensure regulatory standards are consistently maintained
• Design and deliver tailored training programmes, including safety, technical and compliance training
• Utilise a range of learning methods including workshops, e-learning and on-the-job training
• Work closely with managers to identify skills gaps and development requirements
• Align learning and development initiatives with operational and business objectives
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes using appropriate metrics and colleague feedback
• Lead leadership development programmes
• Support succession planning and the development of high-potential colleagues
• Work closely with HR and departmental teams to identify and deliver development opportunities
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and employee engagement
• Share and implement regional learning and development best practice
• Attend meetings at other company sites as required

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in a Learning & Development role, ideally within a complex manufacturing or operational environment
• Experience designing and delivering technical, compliance and leadership training programmes
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles
• Experience coaching, developing and evaluating the skills of others, coaching accreditation would be advantageous
• Experience identifying training needs and developing appropriate learning solutions
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels
• Experience facilitating training sessions and workshops
• Ability to balance operational and functional priorities effectively
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word, coupled with digital tools to support learning and development
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and employee development
• Own transport is essential due to the requirement to attend meetings at other sites
