Our south Hereford based client requires an experienced Injection Moulding Technician the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and offer a good understanding of the injection mounding process and associated machinery. Alternatively,  a trainee with technical experience in a manufacturing environment to join their busy team on a full time, temporary to permanent basis.

What you can expect:

• Full time, temporary to permanent role
• Hourly rate for experience:  £13.91 per hour working 2 shifts (including shift allowance)·         Rotating shift pattern 2 shift rotation of: 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm

• Trainee £12.65 per hour day shift only (approx. 3 months training)
•  Hereford location with onsite parking

What you will be doing:

• Assisting the team with the development of new tooling and moulding programs
• Material handling, including material and colour changes, mixing, drying and granulating
• Start-up and shut-down the entire department
•  Ensure all ancillary machinery is set up correctly
• Setting up and programming robots and sprue pickers
•  Accurate recording and reporting of shift production metrics
• Quality control with good attention to detail
• Troubleshooting and fault correction through machine settings

What we are looking for:

• Experience within a manufacturing environment with a good Understanding of the injection moulding process, qualifications preferred
• Experience using Engel injection moulding machines and robots
• Recognise process faults and component defects and understand what is required to rectify them
• Must be proactive in supporting other members of the team including training
• Willingness to learn and develop in the role as the department expands
• If trainee application you must have technical experience in a manufacturing environment
