HR Advisor

We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing technology and engineering business for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a full time permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting both operational and strategic HR activities while playing a key role in organisational change and employee engagement.

• What You Will Be Doing
• Provide a proactive HR advisory service to managers and employees across the business
• Lead and support organisational change initiatives including restructures, business growth and new systems implementation
• Coach and influence managers to effectively manage change and support their teams
• Support organisational design and restructuring projects
• Manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management
• Liaise with Occupational Health and external legal advisors where appropriate
• Support recruitment activities, onboarding and induction processes
• Assist with early careers and learning and development initiatives
• Develop, review and implement HR policies and procedures
• Ensure HR practices remain compliant with UK employment legislation and best practice
• Advise managers on employment law updates and HR policy application
• Contribute to the delivery of the organisation's People Strategy
• Support HR projects including performance management, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Deliver HR training sessions, workshops and management briefings
• Support leadership development programmes
• Maintain accurate HR records and HR systems
• Prepare payroll information and administer employee benefits
• Produce HR reports and metrics to support business decision making

What We Are Looking For

• CIPD Level 5 qualified (or above), or equivalent HR experience
• Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor role
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases
• Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation
• Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills
• Confident building relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Able to manage multiple priorities within a busy environment
• Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office
• Professional, approachable and able to handle sensitive matters with discretion
• A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required
