We are looking for an experienced Head of Workforce Operations on a full-time permanent basis to take ownership of a large-scale casual staffing operation across multiple venues. You will lead recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, compliance, performance and engagement across a large casual workforce.

This is a hands-on senior role for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, has a genuine passion for people and can lead teams with energy, resilience and a positive attitude.

What You Can Expect

• Salary: £50,000–£55,000 per annum, generous performance bonus
• Location: London – office based with regular venue travel
• Work-from-home flexibility where appropriate
• Hours: Full-time, working flexibly across a 7-day operation. Regular evenings, weekends and bank holidays will be required, particularly during peak event periods, with flexibility essential to the success of the role

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the casual staffing operation across multiple venues
• Manage and develop the Staffing Management team
• Oversee high-volume recruitment, interviews, onboarding and recruitment targets
• Develop effective staffing strategies to ensure all events are appropriately resourced
• Manage workforce scheduling, planning and resource allocation
• Oversee training, development and progression of casual and seasonal staff
• Drive employee engagement, welfare, retention and job satisfaction
• Work closely with Venue Management, Event Operations, Logistics and Warehousing
• Ensure compliance with right-to-work, employment legislation, Health & Safety and training requirements
• Oversee payroll records and resolve staffing-related payroll queries
• Manage external staffing agencies where required
• Monitor staffing data and KPIs to identify trends and improve workforce planning
• Attend venues and provide hands-on leadership during major events
• Resolve staffing issues and support teams on event days
• Conduct post-event reviews and implement improvements

What We Are Looking For

• At least 3 years' experience in a team management role within events, hospitality, venue operations or another fast-paced environment
• Strong experience in high-volume recruitment and workforce management, managing large numbers of casual, seasonal or temporary employees 100+ casual staff
• Good understanding of recruitment, onboarding, compliance and employment legislation
• Strong coaching, training and people development skills with a genuine passion for developing people and building strong teams
• Experience with workforce scheduling and resource planning
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Confident IT and Microsoft skills, comfortable working with data, KPIs and reporting
• A hands-on and resilient with a positive leadership style
• Flexible approach and willingness to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays during peak periods
