We are recruiting for a Goods In Operative to join our rural Ludlow-based client on a full time, temp-perm basis. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming goods, you will ensure accurate stock records, appropriate storage, all whilst working at a fast pace within a busy warehouse environment.

Candidates with forklift experience are desirable, and experienced candidates with lapsed licences are encouraged to apply as the client is willing to upskill and hold a refresher.

What you can expect:

• Temp to perm opportunity
• Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm & Friday 8am-2:30pm, with a 30min unpaid lunch break
• £12.21 per hour, increasing to £12.71 per hour after 1^st April 2026
• Forklift trained candidates will be paid at a higher rate
• Overtime hours to be paid at time and a third

What you will be doing:

• Receive and unload deliveries, checking goods against delivery notes and purchase orders for accuracy and damage
• Inspect products for quality and report any discrepancies
• Label, sort, and store goods in designated locations in a safe and organised manner
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy working environment in line with health and safety standards
• Support other warehouse functions as required, including picking, packing, and dispatching goods
• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations
• Aware of H&S processes on the site
• If appropriately trained, utilising forklift trucks – counterbalance and aisle master

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, ideally within a goods in environment
• Good attention to detail
• Candidates with forklift experience and licences are encouraged to apply
• Aisle Master truck experience is desirable but not essential
• Candidates must be able to learn and follow processes
• Required to keep their immediate work environment clean and tidy
