We are recruiting for a Finance Officer to join our client on a full time, permanent basis. As part of a larger team supporting the senior management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial duties, ensuring robust administration and accurate monthly reporting. What you will be doing:

• Process sales and purchase invoices and credit notes
• Raise funding requests, inter-company recharges, and prepayments
• Posting journals
• Manage weekly supplier payment runs
• Maintain nominal, sales and purchase ledgers
• Credit control
• Monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts
• Receive cash/cheque/BACS payments, accurately allocating cash to ledgers
• Reconcile and post monthly credit card transactions
• Assist with the quarterly VAT returns
• Maintain the fixed asset register and post the monthly depreciation journal
• Administer payroll and pension processes
• Utilising XLedger software and Bright Pay
• Assist the Head of Finance with the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budget and quarterly forecasts
• Assist the Head of Finance with the financial year end and the annual external audit

What we are looking for:

• AAT qualified (or working towards) or relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a finance role
• Good attention to detail
• Preferably experience working within the Charity Sector
• Preferably experience of using a cloud-based ERP finance software (i.e. Xledger, Sage, Xero)
• Full valid driving licence
• Willingness to work flexibly (occasionally outside office hours or travel to other sites/locations)
