Our Tenbury Wells based client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for delivering robust financial control, insightful management reporting and strategic business partnering.

Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, the successful candidate will provide financial leadership while driving continuous improvement, strengthening financial controls and supporting key business decisions.

What you can expect:

• Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Working hours: 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
• Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

What you will be doing:

• Lead all aspects of financial control, including month-end close, management accounts, Board reporting, balance sheet integrity, statutory compliance, and internal/external audit management.
• Partner with senior colleagues to drive profitability through commercial insight, performance analysis, pricing support, and recommendations that improve plant, customer, and product performance.
• Demonstrate ownership of manufacturing finance and costing, including standard costing, variance analysis (materials, labour, yield, scrap, energy and efficiency), production KPI reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee inventory and supply chain finance, ensuring robust stock control, reconciliations, inventory valuation, stocktakes, and optimisation of working capital across raw materials and finished goods.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle, delivering annual budgets, rolling forecasts, operational forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modelling to support business planning.
• Develop and deliver executive performance reporting, providing dashboards and analysis across key financial and operational KPIs including EBITDA, gross margin, conversion costs, yield, efficiency, inventory, and working capital.
• Drive commercial performance through profitability analysis, raw material cost management, contribution margin reporting, and identification of cost reduction and value creation opportunities.
• Strengthen financial governance and business processes by enhancing internal controls, improving finance processes, supporting ERP development, and establishing robust finance policies and standard operating procedures.

What we are looking for:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (desirable)
• 5–10+ years in manufacturing finance
• Experience partnering with senior colleagues to influence commercial and strategic decisions
• Strong background in manufacturing finance, standard costing and operational performance analysis
• Demonstrable experience managing inventory accounting, stock controls and working capital within a manufacturing environment
