We are recruiting for a detail-focused Finance Assistant to join a small, friendly team on a temporary, part-time basis to provide maternity cover. This is a varied role involving basic bookkeeping and administration duties. A full handover will be provided prior to the maternity leave period.

What you can expect:

• Temporary – Maternity Cover
• Start date: ASAP
• Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (Wed–Fri, 9am–2pm)
• Flexibility on days and working hours may be possible
• Pay rate: £12.21 per hour

What you will be doing:

• Accounts payable processes
• Bookkeeping duties including bank reconciliation
• Day-to-day sales ledger tasks
• Process sales and purchase transactions using Sage
• General administrative support
• Assist with management accounts and quarterly VAT

What we are looking for

• Familiarity with accounts payable/bookkeeping
• Familiarity with Sage (preferred)
• Administration experience
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Ability to work independently when required
• A team player with a willingness to learn
