Our client is a well-regarded property services business with a diverse portfolio and a strong market presence. They are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their south Herefordshire team on a full time, permanent basis, although experienced seeking slightly reduced hours are encouraged to apply.

What you can expect:

• Salary: up to £31,000, depending on experience
• Working hours: 37.5hrs per week (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm), candidates seeking slightly reduced hours are encouraged to apply (30 hours per week across 5 days)

What you will be doing:

• Maintain sales ledger
• Maintain purchase ledger, to include processing of invoice and preparing BACS payment
• Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
• Prepare VAT returns 
• Prepare monthly management reports including client statements and cash flow analysis
• Preparation of month-end and year-end accounts

What we are looking for:

• AAT qualified or working towards is advantageous
• Understand VAT and experience in VAT return submission
• Excellent attention to detail
• Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and with discretion
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Competent IT user, to include Excel, Word, Outlook etc
