We require Poultry Farm Workers to join small existing teams located in Denbigh and Cheshire on a full time Temp to Perm basis.

What to expect:

• Starting rate of £13.46 per hour – Overtime rate £17.90 per hour- weekly pay
• 06:30 am - 15:30 pm Monday – Friday
• Overtime weekend/unsociable hours work when required
• Temporary to Permanent
• Full training is given

What you will be doing:

• Livestock handling ( this can be heavy & repetitive)
• Catching and loading livestock onto lorries
• Assisting with A.I. (artificial insemination) and egg collection
• Deep cleaning of barns and equipment
• Adhering to strict biosecurity and health and safety
• Ensure the welfare and care of livestock is maintained at all times

What we are looking for:

• A prior background in agricultural work is desirable but not essential
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time
• This includes heavy lifting, bending and standing
• Must be able to assist once trained with artificial insemination process
• Must be flexible for additional overtime
• Flexible to work unsociable shifts when required
• To include weekends and out of hours cover on a rota basis
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with co-workers
• Basic understanding of health and safety and welfare practices
• Candidates with a genuine interest in agriculture/ animal welfare will be considered
• Willingness and availability to work when required to support the farm
• Own transport is essential for this role
• Must be located within a 30 minute drive (Cheshire CH4, Denbigh LL16)
