We are working with a Herefordshire based client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing business seeking an Engineering Project Manager on a full time permanent basis. The successful candidate will take ownership of key engineering projects across the full lifecycle, with a strong focus on New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change (EC). This role sits at the centre of project delivery, customer engagement, and cross-functional coordination, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

What you can expect

• Salary: £40,000 – £48,000 per annum, experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
• Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week on a flexi-time contract
• Core hours:
  
  • Monday–Thursday: 09:30–12:00 and 14:00–16:00
  • Friday: 09:30–12:00 and 13:00–14:00

What you will be doing

• Lead and deliver engineering projects from concept through to production
• Take full ownership of NPI and Engineering Change processes
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects progress effectively
• Track progress, drive actions, and maintain project momentum
• Chair NPI and Engineering Change review meetings
• Manage tool repair and modification projects
• Act as the primary customer-facing engineering contact
• Provide clear project updates and build strong customer relationships
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
• Support technical reviews and contribute to quotation processes

What we are looking for

• Proven experience managing engineering projects within a manufacturing or technical production environment
• Strong understanding of NPI, Engineering Change, and quality-controlled processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent projects
• Confident in customer-facing situations with strong stakeholder management skills
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to drive accountability across teams
• Strong communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
• Engineering qualification (HND or equivalent)
• Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 environments (desirable)
• Commercial awareness with the ability to support quotation activity
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong engineering or manufacturing background, with the ability to coordinate projects across the business, hold stakeholders to account, and ensure on-time delivery to customers
