Due to a staff member relocating out of the area, our client in East Herefordshire is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join a small but busy finance team. The ideal candidate will be able to take a lead role in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliations for all group companies and deputise for the group financial controller when required. 

What you can expect:

• Salary of £30k - £40k per annum D.O.E.
• 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
• 45 min lunch break 

What you will be doing: 

• Producing monthly management accounts to strict deadlines 
• Reporting sales to external customers and sales managers 
• Reconcile monthly sales and purchase rebates 
• Issuing authorised sales rebate credits and payments 
• Analysing and reviewing overhead expenditure 
• Managing the fixed assets register
• Reconcile foreign import charges and supplier invoices
• Authorising payment processing and adhoc payment requests 
• Processing trade loans and letters of credit 
• Reconciling monthly Invoicing finance returns 
• Forecasting cash flow and managing weekly cash flow requirements
• Assisting with annual budget preparation 
• Preparing of year end pack 
• Communicating with external bodies – auditors, banks etc. 
• General support for group financial controller 

What we are looking for:

• Fully qualified accountant or part qualified with 5+ years’ experience of a similar role
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• SAP Business One experience (desirable but not essential as training will be given)
• Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Team player
• Adaptable to changes
• Good communicator
• Excellent interpersonal skills
