Our client requires three housekeepers for different properties in Herefordshire.  There is a comprehensive description of the day-to-day housekeeping activities required, which will be available upon request, however below is a brief list of duties.  In broader terms, our client is looking for a housekeeper who will treat their property in the same way as his/her own home.

The post of the housekeeper is unsupervised with the exception of monthly visits.  You will be responsible for cleaning the entire house, making all beds, laundering all linen and towels, keeping tidy the outside areas and some general light weeding in the grounds.

You will also be required to take calls from guests who experience problems during their stay, and arranging for the relevant action to be taken to resolve those problems.  In addition, you will meet and greet new guests and show them around the house.

Due to the scale of current projects, our client requires the recruitment of a permanent in-house resource.  This appointment calls for a special blend of attributes beyond conventional graphic design competency.  Key to the role is the capacity to translate the clarity of our client's thinking into similarly clear design which conveys the primary messages effectively.  This calls for a disciplined design approach where the objective of the application always leads the process.  This is an important role which will involve working closely with the main Director on a daily basis.
The starting point is capability (Mac or PC) with design tools such as Quark, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.  Evidence of understanding type and layout to influence customer perceptions is important.  Experience in working across web design to print is preferred.  Key will be the ability to absorb the client's philosophy and to produce a diverse spectrum of graphic design where the key measure of success is the level to which design provokes improved effectiveness.
